With a number of trialists taking part in the pre-season preparations at Derry City, manager Roddy Collins has added further warm up games to the calendar, as he looks to cast an eye over potential signings, as well as to get a look at the squad in action. With a number of games already organised, the manager has moved to add further fixtures to the build-up.
City will start their campaign away to Limavady United on Tuesday night. This will be the first trip to the Showgrounds since Stephen Kenny’s first spell at the club and will be first opportunity to manager and fans alike to get a look at some of the new faces for the Candystripes in action. - January 21 – Limavady Utd (A), kick off time 7.45pm;
- January 28 – Coleraine (A), kick off time TBC;
- February 2 – Newbuildings FC (A), kick off time 2pm
- February 7 – Institute (A), kick off time TBC;
- February 11 – Glentorn (H), kick off time 7.45pm;
- February 16- Derry and District Select; kick off time TBC
- March 1 – Portadown (A), kick off time TBC;
- A friendly against Irish Premier Division side Glenavon has provisionally been organised, date and kick off time for this has yet to be confirmed.
