USL game falls foul of the weather

Whilst the senior team has seen their previous season preparations disrupted by the weather, the incessant rain has forced Sunday opening Ulster Senior League fixture against Fanad United to be postponed.  The Donegal club announced the cancellation on Twitter this evening, stating that their home pitch at Traigh-a-Loch is waterlogged and thus the game cannot go ahead.

However there is plenty of action elsewhere for the junior sides at the club this weekend, weather permitting.  The U19 side continue with their Promotion Play Off Group campaign with a home fixture against Mervue United.  The game is scheduled to take place at Thornhill at 2pm tomorrow.  As with all games at the moment, this is subject to the weather conditions holding fair.

In the Derry and District, the young City side meet the leaders Park Bar on Sunday morning.  The game is due to the be held at Swilly Number 1 for those that wish to head along.
