Derry launch new look for 2014

Derry GAA have unveiled a new jersey for 2014 following a launch on Thursday evening at O’Neill’s Sports Store, Magherafelt.

Attended by senior hurling and football captains, Ruairi Convery and Mark Lynch, alongside other senior players and management, the launch saw the unveiling of Derry’s latest design at the end of a year which marked the 125th anniversary of the formation of the GAA in the county.

Speaking at the launch, County Chairperson John Keenan looked forward to the incoming year, saying:

“Working with all stakeholders including our players, officials, O’Neill’s and our team sponsors, Specialist Joinery Group, we are happy to present our new look for 2014 and are confident that this will be a big success with our supporters. I would urge supporters and players alike to wear the new jersey with pride as we enter the coming year.

“I would like to take this opportunity to thank Kieran Kennedy and all the staff at O’Neill’s Sportswear for their help and continued support of Gaelic games in our county. We are delighted with the continued support of our team sponsors Specialist Joinery Group and look forward to another mutually beneficial season.

We are proud to be associated with such a family-based company led by managing director John Bosco O’Hagan; for many years part of the wider GAA family within Derry.
