Derry senior football manager, Brian McIver, has continued to ring the changes for the visit of St Mary’s University College to Owenbeg.
Dungiven’s Mark Craig will lead a team which sees McKenna Cup debuts for Peter Cassidy, Niall McFeely, Neill McNicholl and the Loup’s Anthony O’Neill.
Slaughtneil’s Paudie McGuigan comes in for a first starting place alongside Cassidy with Niall Holly set to bolster the midfield sector. Having impressed as a second half substitute, Eoghan Rua’s Ciaran McGoldrick joins a full forward line which looks to have plenty of scoring potential.
Having been plagued with injuries for most of last season, Derry supporters will also welcome the return of the experienced Gerard O’Kane to the red and white, where he joins the McNicholl brothers in a trio of Glenullin players among the starting fifteen.
McIver has also named a strong looking bench for what is expected to be a tough test with St Mary’s having overcome Fermanagh in their first outing.
